Adoption Center
Volunteers are vital to providing high-quality care to our adoption center animals, walking the
dogs, providing cats with crucial socialization time and sharing love.
Lobby Volunteer
Meet and greet, work in SAS store and give tours of our facility.
Maintenance/Cleaning/Laundry
Our appearance is very important. We need your help to make the shelter sparkle! Keeping it
clean and smelling good is a tough job.
Events
Volunteers are the best ambassadors for the Southampton Animal Shelter and we are proud to
have them represent us at events, both at SAS and in the community.
Pet Therapy
Bring love, comfort and companionship to children and adults in health care and special education
facilities. Specific requirements apply.
Administrative
Help the Southampton Animal Shelter staff with administrative tasks and paperwork.
Facilities/Outdoors
Help with gardening, landscaping, lawn care, outdoor jobs and minor repairs and renovations.
Technology
Support of PC’s and software applications and perform related work as required.
Video and Photography
Capture our animals on film in a candid moment that shows their true personality outside their
kennel or cage. To be used on our website and in our lobby.
Community Outreach
Speak to organizations about pet adoption, pet care, training and services offered by SAS.
